Yosemite NP: Wawona Campground
This campground won't fill up within seconds like most of the campgrounds in Yosemite. At least not when I booked for Memorial Day Weekend. Most of the sides are very private, especially site no. 037! As you can see on the picture the other tents are farther away and higher. The area around site no. 037 is free of RV's.
The side is away from the campsite road, close to a river. The kids loved to play at the river bed all day long. The campground also has a little beach at the river.
The campground is great to explore the south part of Yosemite. Would I go there again? Yes.
